Why right wing fundamentalist freaks like me are despised and hated with such passion

If a person dared spend any amount of time browsing the internet regarding any subject important to Evangelical Christians, it would be quickly apparent that the prophecies of Jesus have come to pass. The amount of pure hatred and venom directed at anyone who dares to believe much of anything aligned with the conservative side of Christianity is astounding. There is not simple disagreement with theology involved here, there is outright hatred.

Take for instance the much ridiculed concept of a bodily return of Jesus Christ to this earth. It makes no difference to the millions upon millions of people who rabidly fight against conservative Christians whether we are talking about the “Rapture” idea or simply the “Return of Christ”. Either and both of these ideas are equally repulsive and ridiculous to everyone in this world who is not “fanatical right wing fundamentalist weirdo freak”.

The most disgusting aspect of this problem is that many of those who are most vocal in their disdain for people such as myself is that they claim to be Christians themselves. Their idea of Christianity is to give everyone on earth a big bear hug, condone their lifestyle (whatever it may be), NEVER use the Bible as the standard for determining truth and use Christianity as a cloak for their religion which has nothing to do with Jesus Christ.

Those who vehemently oppose us “extremists” say that our obsession with the Bible and refusal to relegate it to the same level as man’s literary works is the basis of all the world’s problems. These people blame George W. Bush for everything wrong in the world and they blame him because of his “pandering” to the right wing Evangelical Christian community. In their minds, if it were not for those “damn Christians”, John Kerry would have won the 2004 election.

The problem with us “freaks” is that we don’t want to devote our lives to cleaning up this planet so it will remain the centerpiece of man’s “how great I art” attitude for eternity. Ideas of Christ returning in any way, shape or form indicate a belief that this world does not belong to man and will someday be taken away from his jurisdiction and given over to some religious clown who will make everyone throw away their worldly habits, toys and sins.

Those who live their lives in opposition to what the Bible says are the very people who spend their days sharpening their spears and stockpiling flame throwers to hurl at those who represent their enemies. The enemy of anyone living contrary to God’s Word are those who believe God’s Word to be true. Thus, the group which must be silenced and otherwise destroyed is the fundamentalist wing of Christianity. This is the very thing which the Book of Revelation tells us will be happening in the very last days of this world.

Those who refuse to bow to the demands of world and religious leaders will be killed. Those who defy the dictates given to “SHUT UP” will be hunted down and publically executed as an example to others of what happens to those who refuse to obey. Those who stand their ground and do not compromise the Gospel message will be silenced one way or another.

Only a handful of Christians will be willing to pay the ultimate price for their faith. The vast majority will buckle under the pressure of relentless persecution. With threats of financial and physical doom hanging over their heads, multitudes of Christians will lay down their Bibles and choose physical life over martyrdom for the truth.

In light of this, why do the heathen even worry about us crazy right wing freaks? Most of us will roll over when the day comes and curl up in a little ball and suck our spiritual thumbs rather than stand our ground. Most fundamentalist Christians will sacrifice their faith on the altar of worldly recognition, wealth and glory.

Some of us will never compromise, even if it costs us our life. Some of us will never stop speaking the truth even if it means our fingers getting cut off and our tongues cut out. Some of us would gladly lay down our lives in defense of the Gospel. Some of us will never, under any circumstances turn our back on our Lord Jesus Christ.

So, as the United States hurdles towards its appointed date with destiny next week, I am still here along with thousands of others trying to awaken the sleeping giant of the Evangelical community to get their head out of the sand and go vote November 4^th to stop the Obama express. If Christians continue to be fooled into thinking this man is sent by God as some type of savior; there is no choice but to believe the prophecy in 2 Thessalonians 2 of “God sending strong delusion that the church believes a lie” has come to pass.

I am not going to say that Mr. Obama is the “anti-Christ” or anything of the sort. What I will say is that if he is elected along with his supermajority of liberal friends in Congress, the beginning of the end to free speech starts. The voices of all opposed to the worldly and devilish doctrines passed into law will be muted and then silenced. That is not my opinion; it is the prophecy of God’s Word.

In one sense I don’t really care who is elected President for I don’t plan on being here long enough for it to matter. I have a one way ticket punched to spend my eternity with Jesus Christ and God. My life is not devoted to “fixing” all the ailments of this world. My future is not wrapped up in personal legacies and glowing eulogies from godless people. I am devoted to my Lord and my life is His to use as He sees fit. He is my master and to Him I am committed.

Whenever He chooses to return to this earth as Messiah and reign 1,000 years from Jerusalem; I plan on being there with Him. Whenever God establishes the new heaven and earth and comes to dwell with His people forever; I plan on being there. Man can do whatever he wants to dismiss, disgrace and otherwise discard God and what He says in His Word; but that will not change what is true and what will happen when God chooses to bring it to pass. As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

The New Testament Battle–Manifesting Truth to Deceived Generation

The night Jesus was apprehended by the High Priest’s guards, Simon Peter took his sword and cut off the ear of one of those arresting Jesus. In his mind, I am quite sure Peter thought he was defending his Master and saving His life. Instead, Jesus rebuked Peter, healed the guard by restoring the ear and made this profound statement in Matthew 26:52:

“Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword.”

In the Old Testament the battle was physical against physical enemies possessing physical weapons of warfare. In the Old Testament, God’s people fought literal battles with an enemy which could be seen and heard and who could physically inflict injury or death by way of a sword. In the Old Testament, the enemy was represented by nations who rejected God’s Word and desired to eliminate God’s people from off the earth.

In the New Testament the battle is spiritual against principalities, powers and spiritual wickedness from on high. The battle now is with an unseen enemy who manifests himself through television, the internet, books and music. No longer can a physical sword defeat the enemy nor can his physical sword defeat God’s people. The enemy now is represented by his influence on masses of people deceived into believing the lie is true and the truth is a lie.

Our battle today is not against physical enemies who are attempting to apprehend our Lord Jesus Christ and put Him on trial. Our battle is against the overwhelming influence of evil which has permeated our society and twisted the truth into carefully constructed lies. Unlike in the Old Testament, we do not physically fight the enemy but rather we GO, STAND and SPEAK the Gospel of the Good News of Jesus Christ and in the process, put the forces of the enemy to flight.

“But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.”

2 Corinthians 4:1, 2

We have one great responsibility in this life as believers and that is to be the literal manifestation of the truth. Everything in our lives should manifest the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Our words and deeds should renounce the hidden things of shame. Our lifestyles should manifest the purity of the Christ within. We NEVER walk in craftiness nor do we ever deliberately handle the Word of God deceitfully. Our walk should literally be the manifestation of the truth and thus when people look at us, the truth will speak to their conscience.

“But even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.

Whose minds the god of this age has blinded, who do not believe, lest the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine on them.”

2 Corinthians 4:3

Those who refuse to see, hear and believe the truth our lives manifest are those whose minds have been blinded by the god of this age. Obviously, everything the enemy does is intended to keep people from being able to see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ. The enemy has systematically worked to deceive the masses through the images and words constantly flooding people’s minds through the various media he is the god of.

All any of us can do is GO where God asks us to GO, STAND on the integrity and accuracy of God’s Word and SPEAK the truth in love via our words and our lifestyles. Through this manifestation of the truth, we fulfill Jesus command to “so let your light shine”. Wherever we GO, we should strive to STAND on what we know is the truth and SPEAK words which are seasoned with salt meaning they are true.

The battle today for a believer is whether to obey God or be influenced by the lies of the enemy. When the enemy says STOP, QUIT and SHUT UP; we must rally the forces of our mind and put on the whole armor of God so as to resist the enemy and stand against his wiles. The enemy does everything in his power to convince the believer to stop trying to walk and live for God, to quit trying to be some great witness and to no longer speak the truth in love.

I pray we all remember that our job is to manifest the truth and God’s job is to give the increase. I pray we all maintain the inner strength to never stop speaking the truth whether anyone believes it or not. I pray we beseech God to put His Word on our lips to speak without fear so those searching for a little light in this dark world will find it though the words we speak and the lives we live.

Obama cannot be anyone’s savior or messiah for Jesus Christ already is

I am extremely agitated and upset currently by many things going on within the Christian body as well as this country. It is absolutely beyond my understanding how intelligent people can manage to fall prey to so many lies and deceiving spirits, but they are. Right and left, good and bad people of all denominations and walks of life are standing around waiting for someone to function as their “messiah” and save them. Read the following very closely:

JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY NAME GIVEN WHEREBY PEOPLE CAN BE SAVED.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY SAVIOR—EVERY OTHER IS A FRAUD.

JESUS CHRIST IS THE MESSIAH AND NONE OTHER.

Unless people wake up and realize what they are doing by turning to man and his wisdom for their salvation, they are going to find themselves in a situation no one really wants. Scoff all you want, but the Bible clearly states that the day is coming when prophecies of the book of Revelation will come to pass. There will be a one world government. There will be a one world religion. There will be one man who, as the antichrist, will oversee the mess known as the world.

Whether that one man is Barack Obama or not; anyone who parades himself around proudly projecting himself as the “messiah” cannot be from God. The Messiah came two thousand years ago and provided salvation to anyone willing to confess Him as Lord and believe God raised Him from the dead. That is what THE Messiah is all about; not providing money and jobs and health care.

Millions of people could care less what God thinks or says. All they are interested in is blindly following a man who is going to lead them to the promised land of prosperity and universal good. I cannot believe how many people, especially Christians, have bought into the Obama heresy hook, line and sinker.

The voices of reason are steadily being drowned out by the ever increasing fanatical cries of those desperate for a “savior”. Those who do not know or have rejected the true Savior Jesus Christ gladly pledge their allegiance to “the great one” who will solve all their problems and who will restore to them good health, a good job and womb to the tomb socialistic care. No one seems to care who this person really is and what he really believes. All that matters is the hyperbole that daily increases in absurdity and touches on blasphemy.

The coup that is getting ready to overthrow the United States will be bloodless and peaceful. The people of the United States will voluntarily relinquish control of their country, their livelihood, their families and faith to a man who will show his true colors once elected and sworn in. Through the very system set up to safeguard liberty (free elections); slavery will ensue.

There is no turning back, the country and many of the country’s Christians will speak on November 4^th. What they will say they want is change from a President they don’t like and a Party they associate with corruption and deceit. Oh how the hypocrites rage and the people imagine vain things. The current economic failure is nothing more than a cleverly conceived and contrived smokescreen to bankrupt the world’s great powers and turn major countries such as this one into servitude states.

No true Christian would ever consider voting for someone on the basis of him/her being any kind of a “savior” or “messiah”. Vote for policy and ideas, but not for some hollow promise of salvation. No man has the capacity to change the world unless he has convinced the world’s masses that he can. If such a man gets elected in two weeks, what appeared so promising to many will turn out to be their worst nightmare once the chameleon changes its colors and throws off the façade which allowed him to win an election.

For those craving a savior and messiah, I beg you to turn to the only one who is capable of being such—Jesus Christ. Trusting in man to bring salvation yields only disappointment, deception and in the end defeat. Trusting in God and His Son Jesus Christ for salvation is the only way to receive eternal life which is indeed that which man’s heart cries out to receive. Trust in the Lord not man.

Counterfeit Christianity; Wolves in sheep’s clothing

The Word of God can be trusted because God says so. If we cannot trust God, then who can we trust? Man has a serious problem allowing himself to believe in the integrity of God’s Word. He wants to twist it around to suit his needs and wants and make it say what he wants it to say to please him. Once people start messing with the Word of God they start sliding down a slope which leads to horrible consequences.

At the end of the book of Revelation, after all had been revealed to John, read closely what it says in Revelation 22:18-20 from the New King James:

“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book; If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book;

And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming quickly.” Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus”

God help the throngs of people over the centuries who have taken it upon themselves to butcher and turn the Book of Revelation into a comic book or book of myths and fables. Many would say that there is no way the above verses would actually be carried out. I would say, “do you really want to risk believing that?”

Those who rip the Word of God to shreds, as the king did when delivered the Word of God from Jeremiah, do so because of their firm belief that there is no God and thus “His Word” is worthless. Surely the fool says in his heart “there is no God”, for anyone who has been touched by God knows full well that there is a God and not only that; He is a God of justice and vengeance who is patiently waiting for the time to manifest it.

Misunderstandings and misconceptions regarding God are one thing. They are to be expected due to the 40,000 or more denominations found among so called Christianity. But, those who flat out reject the idea of there being a God and flagrantly seek to discredit, humiliate and otherwise destroy those who believe in such God are in fact the “enemies of God”. Those who fall into this category will in their due time see the error in their ways. Those who dare to deny the existence of the Almighty Creator of the heavens and the earth will one day face such Creator face to face.

I have the patience of Job with those who are honestly hungering after the truth and may have some problems standing in their way. I have no problem with believers who are confused with the constant bombardment of differing ideas regarding every aspect of their faith. Good grief, I even get confused with all the various interpretations and thoughts. Those honestly trying to understand the Word of God have nothing to fear regarding their lack of perfection. But, those who have no respect for God and therefore despise His Word, are a different story.

In 2 Peter, I feel it very important to remember what the Word of God says in chapter one, verses 20 and 21:

“Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation,

For prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

What we know to be the Word of God came not by the will of man, but by direct inspiration and revelation of the Holy Spirit. If man does not like what the Word of God says, he needs to bring it up with the management and NOT simply privately interpret the Word to please himself. Directly in this context, looks at verses one through three of chapter two:

“But there were also false prophets among the people, even AS THERE WILL BE false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction.

And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the way of truth will be blasphemed.

By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and destruction does not slumber.”

But, in contrast to the real prophets who received the Word of God by direct revelation from the Holy Spirit, there WERE false prophets around when the Word of God was received and published. In like manner, THERE WILL BE (future tense) false TEACHERS among you. It does not talk about false prophets here, it is referring to those who will teach false doctrines. These are the same people Paul spoke about in 1 Timothy 4:1 and whom Jesus warned would arise in the “last days”.

Those who deny the redemption of Jesus Christ and teach destructive heresies instead will bring to themselves swift destruction. Unfortunately, many will follow their destructive ways with the result being the way of truth being blasphemed. Those who are being spoken about in this section have one great thing in common, and that is GREED.

By covetousness—GREED—they will (not maybe, but WILL) exploit you with deceptive words. Brothers and sisters; the Word of God is as clear as can be on this subject. Just as there were false prophets claiming to have received the true word of prophecy in Peter’s time, so there are false teachers today who claim to have special revelation into the insight of scripture and claim to have a new and better interpretation of scripture which in reality is pure heresy.

Those who the Word of God is speaking about here are only after one thing, and that is to get rich from their teachings and so called miracles they perform. BY GREED they will exploit, use and abuse you with deceptive words which sound too good to be true, for they aren’t. BY GREED they will exploit, use and abuse naïve believers who are spellbound by golden tongued orators who “must be from God” because of how they look and what they say. All who follow them contribute to the blaspheming of the truth.

Those guilty of being the kind of false teachers here in 2 Peter are not true men and women of God speaking on His behalf. They are only appearing spiritual to trick people into thinking they are genuine and to steal their resources all the while turning the truth of God into a lie. We must be aware, awake and ever vigilant to spot such charlatans and confront them and try to help those under their spell to escape.

Look around brother and sisters and if you are honest, you will see these evil people hiding behind clerical robes, standing behind pulpits, speaking to you through the television and radio and filling bookstores with shelves upon shelves of their books. These people who only want your money and could care less about your eternal destiny have two incredible chapters devoted to them. 2 Peter and Jude both speak of these same people and what they do and what awaits them. Please, let us be circumspect and be aware of what is going on in so much of Christianity today.

What is REALLY at stake November 4; Socialism vs. Liberty

I have prayed and asked the Lord for wisdom to write this post for quite some time. I feel strongly that now is the time for me to attempt the very difficult task of trying to show what the REAL issue is in the upcoming election. In many respects, this is the most important post I have ever tried to write because so much is at stake. I pray God directs my thoughts to write His will on this matter.

In three short weeks, the United States of America will either still be standing or forever changed into a new and different union very few thought possible even a few short years ago. The events that have taken place in the financial realm have served as a catalyst for change no one thought could ever take place in this country. It seems that no amount of truth has any impact on the ever growing lies overspreading this country. Daily, more and more average Americans throw up their hands in desperation and “give up” the battle hundreds of thousands have given their lives to fight before us.

Solomon says in the book of Ecclesiastes that there is nothing new under the sun. Truly what has transpired in America has happened to societies and countries before. Truly what is getting ready to happen in America has happened numerous times in civilizations which lived and diminished long before this country was founded.

The issue at stake on November 4^th has nothing to do with the two men seeking the office of President. The issue which will be decided on election day is far greater than the platforms of the two political parties represented. The issue which will be voted upon has never been debated and never makes it to the network news. It is doubtful either candidate even knows what the REAL issue in the upcoming election really is.

The United States of America was founded upon principle of personal liberty and strict dependence upon God for victory and provisions. The government was simply a vehicle needed to defend the rights of its citizens and the country as a whole. The United States won its independence against all odds. The United States survived a civil war which would have destroyed any other nation on earth. By the start of the twentieth century, the United States was quickly becoming a world power not only economically but spiritually.

In the early 1900’s a new philosophy of government took root. Entire nations were taken over by the passionate writings of Carl Marx. The idea of socialism began to spread in Europe and overthrew the old regimes in Russia and other countries. Instead of the wealth being controlled by the ruling class, the wealth would be distributed among all classes. Within a short amount of time, the downtrodden masses in countries all over the world who were exposed to socialism embraced the concept.

Those with wealth were despised and many times stripped of their riches. Those allowed to retain their wealth were taxed excessively. From this sprung the concept of communism which although tried in places such as Russia for 70 years, failed miserably. The one thing that did come from socialism and communism was the “security” in the minds of the masses that the government would be there as a safety net to keep them from starving or having nothing.

Socialism was squashed in the United States by the roaring twenties. Socialism was re-introduced through the programs instituted by FDR during the Great Depression. The depression broke the spirit of millions of people and put firmly in place the mentality that the government would solve all of our problems one way or another.

After World War II, Russia annexed many of its neighbors and turned them into socialistic satellites. Once China became communistic, almost half of the world’s population was under the control of socialistic or communistic states. Just as in the 1920’s, the United States went the other direction and experienced great growth of personal financial freedom in the 1950’s and early 1960’s. But when LBJ introduced his “Great Society” in the mid 1960’s, this country again started sliding into socialism.

It was not until Ronal Reagan became President that the slide stopped. Reagan turned the socialistic slide around and helped the country believe in the power of economic growth and voluntary giving to those in need instead of government entitlement programs. Despite attempts early on to undo all of Reagan’s reforms, the Bill Clinton era actually did little to enhance the socialistic agenda.

Ever since the attacks on September 11, 2001 this country has been slowly but surely giving away one element of personal freedom after another in the name of national security. Without anyone noticing, one thing after another in this country has failed and been taken over by the government. Finally we come to the incredible events which started a year ago and have moved at warp speed the past month.

If anyone would have said one year ago that Hillary Clinton would not be the Democratic candidate for either President or Vice-President; they would have been laughed out of the room. Yet, in a stunning turn of events; a fresh faced, golden tongued orator slipped in and stole her base and started winning the primaries. By early summer the impossible had been accomplished and Sen. Obama had not only won the Democratic nomination, but he was establishing himself as the favorite in the election.

Sen. McCain went from a “dead man walking” to the favorite in the matter of minutes with his selection of Gov. Palin as his running mate. Suddenly the Republican base awoke and polls showed Sen. McCain leading in many key states. This is where we were a mere month ago. Now all the polls show Sen. Obama well ahead and gaining every day. What on earth happened?

Suffice it to say, something of profound importance took place within the past month and continues to take place even now. A brilliant strategy was employed on the part of the Obama campaign working in conjunction with many other entities to achieve the desired results. If there is interest, I will conclude this thought tomorrow. Thank you for reading.

The Coming Economic Collapse (Written in March of 2008)

I wrote this article in March of this year; I thought it would be good to revisit it (in its original form) simply as a reminder that what is happening now in the financial sector did not come out of the blue.

One would think economic news would take a backseat this week, but to the contrary, it may make big news. As Christians we should strive to be aware of what is coming so as to be in better shape to handle things and to provide guidance and help to others. There is an ominous storm brewing on the financial front. Just as the Federal Reserve once again tricked the masses into thinking all is well economically through actions not taken in forty years on Friday; the atomic bombs of economic implosion were detonated. Clearly we are dealing with a classic example of “peace and safety” being propounded by the media while sudden destruction is looming just ahead.

There is no way I can begin to express the severity of the current economic situation in this country except to say I would not be posting this at this time if it were not extremely urgent. What lies ahead in the coming weeks has the potential to cripple millions of households as they will no longer have enough money to buy food, gas and pay the mortgage. Credit is tightening at this very moment and the birth pangs getting ready to be felt in this world will cause it to literally stagger. My purpose in writing this is to help us all get prepared now while we still can so we can help others very soon.

Let us say that I gave you $1000 ten years ago. With that $1000, you could have purchased over 3 ounces of gold. The price for an ounce of gold in March of 1998 was $300 per ounce. Five years later, in March of 2003, the price for an ounce of gold had only gone up $50 to $350 per ounce. Even in March of 2005 gold was only $420 per ounce. That means only three years ago, your $1000 could purchase two and one third ounces of gold.

Today, gold is trading for $1002 per ounce. Your one thousand dollars could not even buy one ounce of gold today. This is a terrifying reality. What this means is that the value of the dollar is falling so quickly that soon it won’t be worth the paper it is printed on.

In March of 1998 oil traded at $15 per barrel and the average cost for a gallon of gasoline in this country was $1.06. One year later, oil still traded around $15 per barrel but the cost for a gallon of gas had dropped to 96 cents. Even in March of 2004, oil traded at only $30 per barrel and gas averaged $1.78 per gallon. Now, four years later, oil trades for $110 per barrel and gasoline averages $3.27 and is climbing daily.

Wheat historically trades at $3 to $7 a bushel. But this week, futures of spring wheat — which produces the flour used in hearth breads, rolls, croissants, bagels and pizza crusts — were close to $18 a bushel on the Minneapolis Grain Exchange. They climbed as high as $24 in late February. Everywhere wheat is used, the price for the end product is rising dramatically. A recent article documented some pizza parlors being hit with a 250% increase in the cost of wheat for dough in one week.

The huge trucks that transport everything from vehicles to candy bars across this country every day have been paying around $3.70 or more for diesel fuel for many months. As more and more money has to be used for fuel costs, the cost of shipping has to be increased for trucking companies to stay in business. These increased shipping costs are then passed along to the consumer by way of higher wholesale and retail prices. It is inevitable that we are going to see dramatically higher prices for EVERYTHING simply because of the shipping costs.

Yesterday the government had the audacity to release figures supposedly showing very little inflation during the month of February. Perhaps that might be true, but if so, it was only because we had a month of stable gas prices. The first two weeks of March have more than made up for February. The price of gasoline has skyrocketed and along with it so has the costs of just about everything else.

This past week, the Federal Reserve Board announced they would pick up the bad loans from many huge banks at a cost of over 200 billion dollars. Then yesterday they had to inject billions more into just one financial institution to keep it from going bankrupt. Behind the scenes, the people who control the money supply just keep giving orders to print more and more money to starve off the inevitable collapse of this nation’s economy.

Every time the Government prints more money to bail out someone or to “bless” us with a gift as we are to receive in May or June, the dollar loses more and more of its value. You can’t just keep printing more “funny money” that is not backed by gold without it reaching the point where it becomes worthless. Every country that has fallen into the trap of doing this has faced economic disaster. The United States of America will be no different.

Let us assume you are a good steward of your finances. You go to the grocery store on Monday and the bread that had cost $2 last week is now $3. Suddenly you must find an extra $1 to make up the difference. No big deal unless all over the store many more products have jumped in price. By the time you go to check out instead of your grocery bill being $50 it is now $60. Somewhere you must find an extra $10 or put some of your items back.

On the way home you must get gas. Instead of it taking $40 to fill up the tank, now it takes $50. Once again, from some source an extra $10 must be found. Once home you get the day’s mail. You open the electric bill to find out there was a dramatic price increase and instead of your bill being $100 it is $125. Once again, from some source, an extra $25 must be found. At the bottom of the stack of mail is the credit card bill.

Every month you had been able to pay off the balance in full to avoid finance charges. This month’s charges were $400. In one day you just got hit with needing $45 to keep up with price increases. You make the decision to only pay the minimum of $30 on the credit card so as to have the “extra” money to pay for food, gas and utilities. In effect, you take out a loan for $370 at anywhere from 10 to 25% interest depending on the card. I think you know where this leads.

Inflation is an animal most people under 40 know little about. The last time we had a bad experience with inflation in this country was in 1980. If you were too young to pay bills back then, talk to someone who had to deal with 13.5% inflation. This period of high inflation was triggered by the Iranian hostage crisis and the corresponding hike in the price of crude oil. In late 1979 gold sold for $200 per ounce. Within a few months it was selling for $700 per ounce. On a graph, gold is doing the exact same thing since September of last year as it did in 1980.

If the experts are right, and I think they are, we will all be paying between $4 and $5 for a gallon of gas by May. We also could be paying $5 for a loaf of bread and $15 for a cheese pizza. Now is the time to prepare for what lies ahead. Now is the time to free up any cash that is available so as to have that “extra” when prices start shooting up. Now is the time to eliminate high interest debt even if it means tapping into the ridiculously low interest rates available to people with good credit and income.

Now is the time to make a plan. What expenses can be eliminated with the minimum of hardship? Now is the time to make provisions for elderly parents and grandparents. Find comfortable assisted living type situations now before the prices go through the roof. Now is the time to re-evaluate your investments and make sure your money is someplace YOU believe it is safe and not where your broker wants you to put it.

We are one major natural disaster away from economic devastation. If we were to have an early season Katrina type hurricane hit the Gulf Coast where most of our oil refineries are located; we could easily see gas hit $6-7 per gallon. If England used US dollars, the price of a gallon of gas right now would be just under $10. Are you prepared to spend $100 or more every time you fill up with gas? Can you imagine the hardship if this happens?

I do not share these things to inspire fear but to inspire action while we still have time to act. Americans are notorious for loving to stick their heads in the sand and pretend things are “not so bad” even though they are horrendous. Americans are notorious for being lulled into a false sense of security thinking their jobs or nice little IRA nest eggs will be their sufficiency if the economy collapses. Americans are notorious for procrastinating and putting off doing anything to prepare for potential economic disaster.

Spiritually, the times ahead are guaranteed to get worse and worse, for the Bible says so. Spiritually, this once great country will be brought to its knees because of its idolatry and moral filth. There is no question as to IF, the only question is WHEN. Anyone so naïve as to think this country can keep going economically as it is now for any length of time is sadly mistaken. The so called experts can smile and say “don’t worry”, but keep in mind most of these people are sold out, lock, stock and barrel to the devil and will say whatever he tells them to say.

Finally, if you happen to have some “extra” money, as crazy as it sounds, it might not be too late to invest in gold. In September of 2007 (six months ago), gold was selling at $650 per ounce. By December 31 it was selling at $850 per ounce. Today it is selling at $1002 per ounce. As long as the United States Government keeps printing more and more money, the dollar will keep falling steadily lower and lower. The lower the dollar falls, the more dollars it takes to buy gold, oil and wheat. Considering just about every day the Federal Reserve decides on another major hand out; I don’t think there is much chance the dollar is going to go up anytime soon.

God is our sufficiency and not the government, pension plans, IRAs, jobs or nest eggs. God will provide for His own, but there is no assurances that He will provide on the grandeur level most of us are used to. As 1 Timothy 6 says; “having food and clothing let us be content”. As long as we have a roof over our heads, food in our stomachs and clothes on our backs, we should be the most contented people on earth. That is how we must think or else when things get bad, we will be in no better condition than the world.

God needs His people to be smart and alert to what is happening. I pray that we all take heed to the economic storm warnings that have been issued. Preparation eliminates fear and breeds confidence. I pray that we can weather the upcoming storm and provide safe shelter to those who don’t. This is our hour to shine if we’re ready.

Stern Warning to America from Ezekiel Chapter 7

The prophet Ezekiel was given specific words concerning the upcoming Babylonian conquest of Judah. What God had to say was straight to the point and could be understood by anyone if they choose to listen. When God tells us disaster is coming, He does not make it difficult to understand. The words given by Ezekiel at the time all came to pass. But, the words remain for us today as a “type” of what is coming. That which happened to Judah and Jerusalem SHALL happen to the United States of America as well as Israel VERY SOON. Hear Ye the Word of LORD reading from the TANAKH from Ezekiel 7:

“The Word of the Lord came to me;

You, O mortal, [say] Thus said the Lord God to the land of Israel: DOOM! DOOM is coming upon the four corners of the land.

Now doom is upon you! I will let loose My anger against you and judge you according to your ways; I will requite you for all your abominations.

I will show you no pity and no compassion; but I will requite you for your ways and for the abominations in your midst. And you shall know that I am the Lord.

Thus said the Lord God: A SINGULAR DISASTER; A DISASTER IS COMING.

Doom is coming! The hour of doom is coming! It stirs against you; THERE IT COMES!

The cycle has come around for you, O inhabitants of the land; the time has come; the day is near. There is panic on the mountains, not joy.

VERY SOON I will pour out My wrath upon you and spend My anger on you; I will judge you according to your ways, and I will requite you for all your abominations.

I will show you no pity and no compassion; but I will requite you for your ways, and for the abominations in your midst. And you shall know it was I the Lord who punished.

HERE IS THE DAY! See, the cycle has come round; it has appeared. The rod has blossomed; arrogance has budded,

Lawlessness has grown into a rod of wickedness. Nothing comes of them, nor of their abundance, nor of their wealth; nor is there preeminence among them.

THE TIME HAS COME, THE DAY HAS ARRIVED, Let not the buyer rejoice nor the seller mourn—for divine wrath shall overtake all her multitude.

For the seller shall not return to what he sold so long as they remain among the living. For the vision concerns all her multitude, it shall not be revoked. And because of his guilt, no man shall hold fast to his life.

They have sounded the horn, and all is prepared; but no one goes to battle, for my wrath is directed against all her multitude.

The sword is outside and pestilence and famine are inside; he who is in the open shall die by the sword, he who is in the town shall be devoured by famine and pestilence.

And if any survive, they shall take to the mountains; they shall be like doves of the valley, moaning together—everyone for his iniquity.

All hands shall grow weak, and all knees shall turn to water.

They shall gird on sackcloth, and horror shall cover them; every face shall betray shame, and every head shall be made bald.

They shall throw their silver into the streets, and their gold shall be treated as something unclean. THEIR SILVER AND GOLD SHALL NOT AVAIL TO SAVE THEM IN THE DAY OF THE LORD’S WRATH—TO SATISFY THEIR HUNGER OR TO FILL THEIR STOMACHS. Because they made them stumble into guilt.

For out of their beautiful adornments, in which they took pride, they made their images and their detestable abominations—therefore I will make them an unclean thing to them.

I will give them as a spoil to strangers, and as plunder to the wicked of the earth; and they shall defile them.

I will turn My face from them, and My treasures shall be defiled; ruffians shall invade it and defile it.

Forge the chain, for the land is full of bloody crimes, and the city is full of lawlessness.

I will bring in the worst of the nations to take possession of their houses; so shall I turn to naught the ride of the powerful, and their sanctuaries shall be defiled.

HORROR COMES, AND THEY SHALL SEEK SAFETY, BUT THERE WILL BE NONE.

CALAMITY SHALL FOLLOW CALAMITY, AND RUMOR FOLLOW RUMOR. Then they shall seek vision from the prophet in vain; instruction shall perish from the priest, and counsel from the elders.

The king shall mourn, the price shall clother himself with desolation and the hands of the people of he land shall tremble. I will treat them in accordance with their own ways and judge them according to their deserts. And they shall know that I am the LORD.”

Hear Ye the Word of the Lord:

There is a singular disaster coming! With it comes the hour of DOOM for this world. As the cloud rises the forces of evil will embark on their mission to destroy and devour.

What goes around comes around America. You have sold your soul to the gods of this world and have forsaken the God who made you great. You await the same judgment as Judah in Ezekiel’s time and current day secular Israel. God will not be mocked. God will not allow His name to be used to justify evil and greed and corruption. God is not happy with you America for you have abandoned Him and run after the gods of pleasure and wealth.

Hear Ye the Word of the Lord:

Horror is coming and there is NO SAFETY. CALAMITY shall follow CALAMITY and there will be no one to help you. Earthquakes, hurricanes, terrorist attacks, financial collapse and diseases are knocking on your door. There is no turning back the anger of the Lord once His remnant is taken out of this world. The only thing holding back all this from happening is the remnant of the one true church, the true bride of Christ. SHORTLY this bride will leave to be with her Lord and all you just read SHALL COME TO PASS.

Scoffers will scoff and say it will never be. Doubters will doubt and say it cannot be. Fools will laugh and say it is all a joke. All will perish and no one will be there to help them.

People of the Lord: The messages from the Lord are getting more dramatic by the hour. These are NOT the times to sit back and blow off these words as those of paranoid fear mongers. There is a message our Master is trying to deliver before it is too late. AWAKE and LISTEN. REPENT and DRAW NIGH unto Him while we can. His arms are open to take us and protect us from the coming storm.

Behold, He stands at the door and is knocking. His words are sharp and powerful and indicate that time is of the essence. He has spared us twice in the past three weeks from certain destruction. He is holding open the invitation a little while longer. Please do no slam the door in His face this time. Please, for your sake, for the sake of your family and for your eternal destiny DO NOT REJECT HIM.

ARISE and STAND, BE NOT AFRAID. The salvation of our Lord draws near.

“Unbuttoning the Beast”=Devilish advertising at its worst

Call me old fashioned or just call me disgusted. I cannot believe where the advertising gods have gone in their madness. The new Levi commercial about unbuttoning your beast has absolutely no business on public television. The local news showed cuts of the commercial on the late news with a warning that the content might be objectionable. Duh.

Now, if we are talking about starting sex education in kindergarten, then I guess the new ad is logical since all who view it already know about the beast and what it is used for. The problem is that all of us who still value modesty as a virtue find such advertising despicable and disgusting. Perhaps it is appropriate for a college frat party, but not mainline commercials on public television.

I get so sick and tired of the incessant advertising on the sites such as Yahoo for personal/dating services. The ads are seductive and play upon the poor souls who check their e-mail and have nothing in it but spam. But, all they must do is click the mouse and they will find true love and sex with a partner in their city. The ads are devilish and have no business on public places anyone can access.

A few years ago I worked closely with a couple of Christian groups trying to help men get over their addiction to porn. Bible verses were tried, hellfire and condemnation was tried and of course prayer was constantly tried. Many times a man would repent and be clean only to return home or to his work and once the computer came on, the problems reappeared. Why? Because of the onslaught of subliminal advertising a person is bombarded with on the internet regardless of “controls”.

A recovering alcoholic cannot be given a job working at a brewery. There is no way any person coming from that background could withstand the temptation due to both seeing and smelling the beer all day. A person sincerely wanting to break the habit of excess drinking must remove all temptations or more times than not, they will fall off the wagon.

Anyone who has tried to quit smoking knows how difficult it is. The physical addiction is overwhelming and the habits are nigh unto impossible to break. Yet, people succeed every day. How is this possible? Resolve plays a huge role, but so does the elimination of temptation. Only a fool would quit smoking while leaving a pack in the top dresser drawer.

For anyone trying to live a pure life, it is quickly getting to the point where the television just needs to be turned off, the computer needs to be unplugged along with the video games, CD and DVD players. All forms of media and entertainment are saturated and full of images and suggestions all designed to break down the walls of resistance God’s Word puts up around our minds.

So, what’s the point of this rambling commentary on American advertising? Basically to turn it off and leave it be. Most high dollar advertising campaigns have ulterior motives and are advancing one agenda or another. Thus, a wise Christian, especially one battling any addiction or compulsive disorder needs to be extremely wise and circumspect in relation to what they see advertised.

The compromising church has transformed itself into an institution of hypocrites and den of thieves

Please allow me to tell any Christians reading this post the truth. The glorious Body of Christ is being devoured by a disease far more insidious than the worst cancer known to man. Members of the Body of Christ are being struck down and devoured at an alarming rate. The basis of this disease is found in COMPROMISE.

One of the very first Christian recording artists (other than Gospel) sprang out of the hippie movement in California in the early 1970’s. His name was Keith Green. Keith had wild black hair and corresponding beard. Through his early albums, he tried to convey one great message to God’s people, and that was NO COMPROMISE. Some of his early songs cut straight to the heart of religiosity and hypocrisy and challenged the listener to wake up and rise up. Keith died in a tragic airplane accident in the early 1980’s. The Christian music scene lost an icon when it lost Keith’s challenging music.

The Church today has no idea what it means to STAND. Compromise has been the prevailing theme for so long that the idea of actually standing fast and firm on anything is a foreign concept. In one issue after another, the church has forsaken its Devine duty to act as a lighthouse. Instead of providing light to guide and direct those in perilous waters safely home; the church has either turned into a traffic light stuck on yellow or worse yet, has simply turned off the light all together.

The role of the church is much more than to provide social activities to the masses of people who claim to be Christian and want to socialize with each other. Nowhere in the New Testament is there anything to indicate that the purpose of the church is to use all its resources to entertain and make its members feel good. Due to the relentless compromising of principle under the guise of “political correctness” and not wanting to offend those with deep pockets; the church has become a spiritually worthless institution.

The church was designed to be the moral compass whereby the lost soul could get his bearings and at least know where “north” was. The church was supposed to be the refuge from the world and all its garbage. The church was supposed to be the extension of Christ Himself; the place where members of His Body would fellowship and learn. When the church became nothing but a country club with crosses and stained glass windows, it ceased having any true impact on society.

The church is in full retreat. Many of the last vestiges of truth have been destroyed by the constant attacks by the enemy. Whole denominations have been overrun by liberal theologians who strive to find answers outside the Word of God and make the church conform to the world’s standards. Among many conservative congregations, political infighting has resulted in division and in assemblies spending all their time and resources fighting each other instead of reaching out to others.

Most of Christianity has settled into a complacent “don’t rock the boat” mentality. The world enjoys this and condones this pseudo faith for it poses no risk to its agenda of removing any trace of the true God from society. The devil and his minions could sit in the chairs and pews of many assemblies on a Sunday morning and find nothing said or done offensive. The assembly would consider this a victory; God considers it utter and complete failure.

Jesus was, among other things, a true revolutionary. Jesus did not seek to team up with the Pharisees and scribes; he spent much of His ministry confronting the hypocritical religious leaders of the time and warning the people to break free from their error and deceit. Jesus was not afraid to tell the truth even if it cost Him His life.

Unless the church is willing to take a stand on issues of faith and conscience, I fail to see how it is providing any true service to God’s people. If all the church wants to do is have big meetings and services and provide recreational facilities along with places for its members to socialize; then it has truly succeeded through its incessant compromising in turning itself from God’s Holy Temple into a “den of thieves” and an institution of hypocrites.
